My brothers flight into O’Hare got bumped, and he’s flying into Milwaukee and from there to Chicago. Better late than never. We have a full weekend planned and updates will likely be posted in photo form till later on Monday, if I can still function. I secured a bike for him so I can finaly show him my backyard (LSD and Montrose Harbor) the way I’ve wanted to for the past 4 years. So, be warned the details may be hilarious.

hot vegan sausage I got an email from Newbomb Turk this morning citing that I haven’t reported on Michael Jacksons death. Figure it out and beside what’s the point. I also got some schlack on Facebook regarding a comment I made calling the self proclaimed “King of Pop” a Pedo. They said he was never found guilty and once settled out of court. To that I say, so was OJ till the civil trial which he was never did time for.
I think that freakshow who betrayed his own race is getting enough press without my help.
Farrah on the other hand was my first crush when I was 12 years old and used to send her letters in the mail.

Filling in the blanks
Friday evening my brother finally arrived and I met him on the corner after he got lost on the bus commute from O’Hare. We picked up a bottle of his poison at the liquor store and went over to mi casa where Jenny was sitting on the deck listening to David Allan Coe. We had some drinks and laughs and appetizers before our late but tasty dinner.
As I had mentioned, it was nice to create meal w/ Jen again. She lived a few stories under me a couple years back and we were really good friends, we cooked together a lot. And as we all sat and watched DVD’s for laughs after dinner Blue and I went out and Jen fell asleep on the sofa. It was around 1230 AM.
Our first stop was at Holiday Club for a round and then after we cabbed up to Carol’s where we only stayed for about 1 and a 1/2 hours, BACK! GET IT! And were home around 3 AM after having a conversation w/ some ladies passing us on Irving Park. We stayed up till around 430AM keeping Jen awake before we all fell asleep.
I woke up early of course and started coffee and prepping breakfast.Jenny went on her way and Blue and I ate outside beneath a beautifully perfect Saturday morning. It was going to be a great day and we prepared to go biking and to the beach. Which is exactly what we did. I had been wanting to take my brother biking along Chicago’s Lake Shore for more than a few years.
After a few hours of basking in the sun and sand we ventured back, relaxed for a few hours and later on went to the Country Bar where we watched the ass kicking house band that sports a very great guitarist.
Upon waking up the next morning before heading over to my spot for the Pride Parade, we ate breakfast at El Palmar. Excellent as always. Jenny cancelled at the last minute but Andy was still meeting us around 1145ish.
At noon the parade kicked off, we met a few very interesting people and there was one fella by the name of Darren who is an actor and played a stand in for Woody Harrelson in a few flicks, including Natural Born Killers.
Andy had a couple guys w/ him and we partied up and laughed it up for the early afternoon during the festivities. It was a riot, a lot of fun as always, and I think the best time I’ve had at the event to date.
After walking home my brother was up for another meal at El Palmar and we spent another 2 hours there and went back over to the country bar for a few beers before heading home. I was feeling exhausted and couldn’t even stay awake log enough to watch “Unforgiven” with him.
Monday morning was here, it was a nice day but left me feeling exhausted. Blue departed around 1030 and I rested and slowly cleaned up the house. I was completely wiped out. Besides I needed to be 100% as Tuesday at noon I had a meeting w/ 2 associates downtown. I was feeling hopeful.
It was all good.
note: obviously a lot of details have been omitted. there was some rabble rousing and other occurrences that I really do not feel the need to divulge. I had an incredible weekend w/ my brother and that is all that matters. I also know that I have some very good trustworthy friends. - az
