I may have been a dork going to chruch but I was still the “dark one”.

It never matters how far a person plans things out in life than it takes little to fracture plans and ultimately destinations. My life is usually planned out about 6 months in advance. I have a concert date in November already and who knows how many between now and then. Not to mentions conventions, festivals, and of course maybe the great onslaught of movies the summer season has ever beheld. Not to mention my planned 15 day cross country road trip.
But it only takes the selfish and inconsiderate to put any and all plans to a devastating halt. Sometimes it’s envy and sometimes it’s just an simple act of revenge and at worst it is the simple fact that some people cannot tae seeing other people advance and have a chance to succeed. It is the self centered who can take a happy go lucky hard driven and hard working individual and turn them into something that takes their determination and uses it for things and desires a lot less, shall we say, glamorous than otherwise.
Last Friday night we went to Cro Bar for the owners birthday party. Brad Altman invited me and as many friends as I wanted to invite. Shelly and I met Kendra at her condo and her friend Elizabeth came over and upon arriving at the legendary hot spot were greeted and treated like royalty. Ironically the tribute was to THE KING himself. And we were all bestowed upon with gold crowns to wear on our heads if we so desired. The $20 per person cover was waived for us and drinks were on the house till midnight in the VIP where we were hanging out.
At some point I decided to give Shelly a tour of the club. I hadn’t been there in nearly 2 years and that was for the Batman Begins official release party. As we rounded the top floor and made our decent to the area that circled the dance floor wee ran into Grego and he explained he couldn’t get into the VIP room where we were. Well, I wasn’t going to stand for that, for sure. So as I walked him back to the upper entrance they refused since they didn’t recognize him. I had Shelly go back in and join our other friends as we walked downstairs to put a solution to our problem.
Solved.
